I am a population health expert with over 30 years’ experience in policy and program development, and the delivery and evaluation of state-wide services and programs for health improvement.
​
As a former Executive Director for the NSW Ministry of Health, I successfully led strategies that have made a real difference to the lives of individuals and communities in response to complex and contested health issues.
In 2018, I was awarded the Public Service Medal (Queen’s birthday honours list) for my contribution to population health policy in New South Wales.

I have extensive experience in research and evaluation, fostering links between research and policy and the translation of evidence into policy and practice.
​
I led strategic research and evaluation for public health in the NSW Ministry of Health and local health districts for over 30 years. I also had responsibility for planning, delivery and evaluation of state and local level prevention policy and programs.
